Take a gander at this picture for just a minute and notice the many, many issues that one should have with this sign.
The obvious: There is a surveillance camera on a fucking "Welcome" sign. Not only does this belittle any sort of "welcome" that one could feel, but it also comes across as an angry warning. You might as well have a sheriff openly brandishing a loaded gun and a stack of copies of Orwell's 1984.
The Not-So Obvious: The sign is clearly close to the ground. Like, really close to the ground to be an effective tool for any law enforcement. So yeah, they are definitely going for the slap in the face. Why would you not put this thing up high on the phone pole?
