RIP David Carradine

This morning (June 4th, 2009) Kill Bill actor, David Carradine, was found dead in a Bangkok hotel. Reports say he hung himself somewhere between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. He was in Thailand shooting the movie Stretch (for which I can find no info). Carradine was most famous for his role in the 1970s TV series Kung Fu, but later immortalized in his role as Bill in the Kill Bill series. I don't know much about his early works, but I will miss him and all his badassness.

This Takes Some Big, Juicy Balls

Some kid in a Washington HIGH school was giving a speech about the legalization of marijuana. At some point during his speech, he lit up a joint! Then went on to finish smoking it and ate the rest!

What school is this where they don't stop him instantly? He was eventually arrested.

Dear Hidden Valley

I've seen your recent commercials - you know "there's this magical wonderful place where kids eat their vegetables, and even like them!"
While I recognize that it is often difficult to get a regular amount of vegetables in a child's diet, do you really think it's better to have them eat vegetables but also add THAT MUCH to their fat intake at the same time? They may as well be eating french fries. Throwing a bunch of fat-filled sauce on vegetables will NOT make your child healthier. I have NO issues with Ranch dressing - I like it as much as the next guy - but at a certain point you realize that "wow dipping everything in ranch means that just from the ranch I've received all of my daily calorie, sodium, and fat intake."
And I have news for you: kids in hidden valley don't love vegetables. They love ranch. And if you spread enough ranch on it, even a pile of dog crap would be palatable.

The Marijuana Trick

http://www.thetruthseeker.co.uk/article.asp?ID=3774
Very interesting set of facts about the use of industrialized hemp products. I recognize that there are some holes in this article (i.e. the costs of the development of any of these processes) but it's still very interesting to read about.

Eye Candy...

Definitely for me. Gotta love some Jenny Lewis.

Where is she from? Remember that classic movie from the 80's, "The Wizard"? I barely do as well.

One can also find her formerly fronting Rilo Kiley and now embarking on a, hopefully, successful solo career.

Questions

I've been asking myself some questions recently. It's been a little trying time in some ways. The lonliness that won't subside. The longing to meet that person I haven't met yet. The fact that I'd rather be alone just to wallow in my own sorrow. There are many people who I know don't see it, mostly because I don't want them to or they just don't ask. I'm saying all this in general terms, not pointing any fingers at anyone other then myself. I worry about too much and worry that there is so much I don't want to change but I know will, but to what end? Who will I lose? Will I gain anyone or anything? Will those who mean the most to me not know that they do? Will I lose myself along the way? I know that everyone loves and cares but there are just those days that it just doesn't see like it anyone does...or maybe that it just makes it easier to be angry thinking they don't...

I know there has been a lot of wallowing on the blog lately and I know that I haven't been around on here a lot. I guess I just had to write this somewhere.

I remember a quote from Scrubs that fits accordingly: "It sucks to be alone, even when there are people all around you."

I dont need this coffee right now...

but Im drinking it anyway.

Because it isnt beer.

Which is what I would be drinking/am about to switch to/have switched to/ohmygodIdontneedthisbeereither.

Anyway...

...life is better. Much better, actually.

"Do you realize" that "the golden path" can get you to "turn it on" and force you to "race for the prize" instead of "waitin' for a superman"? I have definitely felt like I was "unconsciously screamin" about "bad days" but after a few nites in "brainville", away from the "drug machine" I discovered that "the will always negates defeat". "This here giraffe" really helped me quit "ego tripping at the gates of hell" and pushed me into a new way of thinking: "love the world you find".

I'm not saying that life is perfect, but I am saying that I am feeling much more positive about it.

I went to Las Vegas.
It was pretty sweet. Really an eye-opener about life and my job. I guess it is nice to feel appreciated and reminded that people notice what you do.
There are some things that will definitely (cliche alert) Stay in Vegas.

Seriously.

I am spending more time listening to the Lips, if you couldnt tell, and eagerly anticipating their new release, Embryonic. (Due out this September) ((tentatively))

I'm Crying Inside

Cottonmouth, I am deeply hurt by your insensitive attitude toward my want for voids to be filled. I'm not really sure what I even mean, but sarcasm is lost on the internet

Anyways, what I really wanted to say was: Fuck McG for making Terminator Salvation a PG-13 rated movie. I'm sure I'll still like it, but by lowering the rating you are not keeping true to the movie's roots. You smuck. I hate how money wins out over creative freedom. It's a franchise built on over-the-top action and robots cursing like sailors. I wish that when a studio makes a "movie for the masses" that it comes complete with a blow job, because at least then I'll be able to handle the forced insertion of their 2 hour long dick into my ass for buying the ticket to see their mainstream garbage. Movies should be made for the audiences they are supposed to be targeted for. Cases in point:

Die Hard 4 should have been rated R. The unrated version did nothing more than add about 10 fucks to the movie. There was no blood, there was no soul. I apparently liked it only "because things exploded" (I hate you guys). I did enjoy it, but to me it did not feel like what a Die Hard movie should be. It felt very...mainstream

X-Men Origins: Wolverine...first off, the title is too fucking long. Just call it Wolverine for fucks sake. Second, Wolverine was never a PG-13 character. He has fucking metal claws. Chop someone in half, god dammit! He chopped off someone's hand in the comics (Silver Samurai's I do believe). I want more hard-assed Canadian chopping people up and not playing grab ass with Gambit. That never happened, but it might as well have. I was disappointed by the need to make it mainstream. They didn't need to. They have Ironman and Spiderman for that. Also, during the credits where they are fighting in the Civil War, that would have been a perfect time to show Logan get a cannonball through the chest and watch it heal up. But no, the movie is rated PG-13. Cool things can't happen if blood is involved. I may have forgiven the shitty CGI claws if they used a little blood in the movie...maybe.

I'll just have to wait and see what Terminator will be like in a couple of days. It better not suck...

Have you ever noticed that only about 1 in 10 hairdressers are hot? One came into a store today, and she was gorgeous. I wanted to tackle her, rip her clothes off, and make sweet nasty love to her right in the store with everyone watching. She was that hot. Then, a while later, other girls from the same salon came in and I wanted to show them a cross to see if they would catch on fire.

I need a little monkey

A little monkey who will sit on my shoulder, and every time I start thinking I'm not good enough (for anything), it will just slap me across the face and grunt at me.
That's what I need

I'm pretty sure...

Fuckingay Megan Fox

In an article I thought would make me and especially Mike would enjoy, Megan Fox is apparently bisexual - in about the most unfortunately closed-minded way possible.

"I think people are born bisexual and they make subconscious choices based on the pressures of society. I have no question in my mind about being bisexual. But I'm also a hypocrite. I would never date a girl who was bisexual, because that means they also sleep with men, and men are so dirty that I’d never want to sleep with a girl who had slept with a man."

I hate that first sentence. The pressures of society? Society certainly wasn't pressuring me to like guys, but that's how it happened - in fact quite the opposite. What this makes her sound like is just another experimental college girl - which is fine - but to make such a brazen comment about ALL sexual orientations? Sigh

Ah well, regardless, I thought this would give you some dream-fodder Hock.

Self-Medication

One more thing before I'm off to bed. So I haven't smoked in two weeks - or maybe more. Which is unusual for me. But it amazes me how badly my generalized anxiety and panic attacks have come back. I miss my bud (haha get it?)
Seriously, anyone who doesn't believe in the use of medical marijuana, let me give my own personal thumbs up. I know it's not great for my throat, but the juice is certainly worth the squeeze.

Incidentally I really like the phrase "is the juice worth the squeeze"
:)

Cottonmouth Out!

Also

Deviled eggs are delicious. Thank you for reminding us of their glory SVG

Alright LADIES

Let's break up the passive aggressive catfight.

Post whatever you want whenever you want.

Yes Goerg and Claudio, I love to see you on here - I dunno from other people's standpoints but it's just cause I miss you guys

And Hock and Kiznox - yeah it became a bit of a sobfest for a while there, and that's fine, but just because YOU guys have a lot to say doesn't mean we all do. We've all taken breaks from posting. Doesn't mean people aren't reading.

We made this shit because we're friends. Personally I'M sick of the bitchy comments. You'd think I was the straight one and YOU guys were the queers ;) hehehe

Miss you all - see you guys soon - 311 or maybe before. or maybe after. soon regardless

Big City Ghettos

So throughout my travels I have found out that most big cities are actually ghettos. Detroit...ghetto. Lansing...ghetto. Orlando, Louisville, and Cincinnati...ghetto. I'm not a scientist, but that seems a little strange to me. The big cities that states are known for are usually their ghettos. I guess that's where the scum want to live, it just seems weird to me that that is also where the big businesses are. I guess I'll never understand it.

P.S. Go Red Wings!!!!!

Part VII

There is this Asian guy on YouTube that goes by the name Luxe37, and he makes some sweet ass stop-motion/live-action toy car chases. I have no real clue what any story is supposed to be, but so far there are 8 parts. This one is, according to the title of this post, #7. I'm not saying it's the best one of the series, I just really like it. #6 is also very good. I suggest watching them all

This might not be profound, but...

Leela, theres nothing wrong with anything.

Deviled Eggs

Today Goerg and I made a shit ton of deviled eggs.

Nothing special, but apparently Hock just wants us to post as often as possible regardless of how insignificant it is, so we're "contributing".

By the way, I totally agree with Goerg about what the blog turned into there for a little while.

Vegas...

I am going to Las Vegas this Sunday. Yup, for work. Yup, could be a downer...but! I am starting to get really excited for this trip.

Its going to be one hell of an experience. I will be working my ass off, but I get to go somewhere. I have been thinking about how awesome it is going to be to go...well...anywhere. I have never been to Vegas, and quite a few people have told me great things about it. I dont gamble much, mostly because blackjack is not a cheap game to play, but there is so much to do. I doubt that I will have a ton of time, but I WILL DO SOMETHING EXCITING AND FUN!!!

Anybody got ideas that dont involve tattoos or hookers about things to do in las vegas!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You know youre an alcoholic when...

you get that same "empty pocket" feeling when you dont have any beer left in the fridge as you would get when you no longer have cigarettes.

Also,

you know youre a smoker when you actually understand the "empty pocket" feeling.

Trek Wars?

This is too good to pass up

Sorry, when it posted it cut off the right side, so I tinkered with the size for it to fit. My suggestion is just watch it in full-screen

Booyah...

Can a brutha get a post?

First off, Hock, don't tell me what to do. I haven't posted on the CFuck in a while because it was going in this "My Life Sucks" direction...and that ain't my bag. But I read anything and commented, so isn't that enough?

I have barely reached over half way through the next batch of 50 movies. I have stopped cramming them into my day, mostly because I fall asleep super early and never have anytime to do so. So I'll post these twenty some odd movies for your enjoyment.

Cream of the Crop: Fanboys, Under The Hood/Tales of the Black Freighter, I Love You, Man, Twilight, The Ice Harvest, Monster vs. Aliens 3D, The Last Kiss, Adventureland, Observe and Report, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With, Push

Comments: As far as the Watchmen side stories are concerned, Black Freighter was boring (and not how I remember it in the novel), but Under The Hood was awesome and really well done. It was definitely a good extra. Observe and Report was surprisingly serious and dark, very good. Claudio and I saw MvA3D on shrooms...it rocked. I saw I Love You Man in theatres twice with Claudio (but he only saw it 1 time and ten minutes of the other). Rudd/Segel combination hit it off the charts! I did enjoy Twilight, but not as much as all the hype. I have been on a Kristen Stewart kick as of late, I think she is a great actress and a fox, in that grungy rock chick way that I like so much! Push had a really interesting take on the super hero thing. It's worth a watch.

Middle of the Road: Nick of Time, Sould Out: A Threevening with Kevin Smith, Factory Girl, The Tracey Fragments, PS I Love You, Hitch, T2: Judgement Day, Marley & Me, In The Land of Women

Comments: Factory Girl was the story of Edie Sedgewick and Andy Warhol and it was really great except for that Bob Dylan was played by Hayden "Ruins Movies" Christiensen! He can't act! PS I Love You and Marley were terribly sad. Sold Out was very funny but his stories were extremely long winded.

Swing and a Miss: Bride Wars, Arthur and the Invisibles, The Sandlot 3: Heading Home, The Fountain, Bottoms Up

Comments: True Story, Claudio and I watched Bride Wars and not two weeks later, I redownloaded it not even thinking I had ever seen it. How bad must that movie be? Bottoms Up had Jason Mewes in it, so it had promise, but the acting and writing was bad on it, so thumbs down. The Fountain was too confusing for me to get into. Sandlot 3 plot: Luke Perry goes back in time to save the sandlot...and to set his life right.

Peace,
GOERG
