Spiderman 4! and 5?!

Fresh from the grapevine, Spiderman 4 and 5 are confirmed and will most likely be shot back-to-back a-la Lord of the Rings. Sam Raimi will return as director and Tobey Maguire will return for the title role. No word yet if Kirsten Dunst will return as Mary Jane Watson. For me, I could care less if she returns, I would rather have her part recast so someone who is hotter and a better actress could take her place. But that's just one man's opinion of an overrated, unattractive actress.

As for the villians, no offical word yet, but we could see Dr. Connors transform into the Lizard or have John Jameson as the Man-Wolf. Personally, I would love to see Shocker, Kraven, Carnage (hopefully to redo the horror that was Venom), or Scorpion.

These will be true sequels, not a reimagining (new Hollywood buzzword) and they will not be dark, opposing the trend toward "darker" comic movies.

Ok, just give me a 6 pack and some Skittles

The Dark Knight Exclusive Trailer

This trailer is found on YouTube but was exclusive to Dominos Pizza for a while. If you have not seen it, it is the best trailer thus far and by far the most disturbing as you listen to the Joker talk...the dialogue from 0:48-0:57 is just chilling.

GOD I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE!!!

Halo 3

Well, after playing it all the way through the campaign on normal, I have deduced that the game is set up very well. The art direction and sound design is amazing. It is rather short though. It can be completed between 6-10 hours, if you run through it. I wish there was more substance to it, but of course they just wanted to finish the story and focus more on multi-player. I still have to run through it on legendary to get the "good" ending. I'll do that eventually.

On the topic of multi-player, Xbox Live is where it's at. The matches are fierce and intense. Sometimes you win, and sometimes you get your ass kicked. The only problem I have with multi-player is shields. The use of shields in multi-player is the worst idea. The matches are too uneven, especially when some shots should kill a person and they end up killing you because the game hates your family. Also, where the fuck are all the maps? They better not charge me for new fucking maps.

Overall, the game was worth it, especially playing it online.

Mark Your Calendars

For an episode of Family Guy that's all about parodying Star Wars. The episode is set to premiere on Sunday, September 23 at 9pm. This one should be good.

If you don't get the Blue Harvest reference, then you're dead to me.

Some of these songs are also in Guitar Hero 3, but that's cool. They have "Epic" and "Gimme Shelter" so I'm good.

Before I Go To Bed

Do you know those times when you thought you had a lot of information on a topic? Well this time you'd be wrong. Bungie has released a new map for Halo 3. Enjoy.

I'll Take One Hoverboard, Please

Levitation is possible. Scottish scientists have found a way to reverse the Casimir force to repel objects apart from each other. Hence levitation. Maybe the vision from Back to the Future 2 isn't too far off. Well, it probably is, but I can dream, can't I?

Video Game News of the Day

I'll start it off with a doozy. You've all heard of Guitar Hero and Lego, right? Well, this is what happens when they have sex and make a child prodigy out of the guitar controller. Damn there are some talented people out there. I want to shake his hand. Oh, and it's fully functional.

Microsoft has made it easier for you to fix your broken Xbox 360 (if you're unlucky enough to see the red ring of death). The best part, you don't even have to talk to anyone. Just go to this website and type away.

Remember Track and Field for the NES? I sure hope you do. Think running pad. Well, Xbox Live just got cooler. They are bringing T&F to Live tomorrow, with updated graphics, (but you can also play with the old school graphics) achievements, leaderboards and 4 player head to head. Fuck yeah!

Price cuts and HD upgrades! Xbox 360s price will be reduced tomorrow. Pro will cost $349.99, core $279.99 and Elite $449.99. PS3 fans, who have not picked one up yet, will be in for a shock. The 80GB system bundled with MotorStorm costing $599.99 will replace the 60GB ($499) PS3. Also, the Sixaxis still has no rumble feature. Good to know that Sony hates us.

Also, this is unconfirmed, but on the WRIF today I heard that they are putting Metallica's "One" in Guitar Hero 3. If that's true, I'll be pissed off. There are so many better Metallica songs to use, like "Fuel" or "Sad But True."

I Wish I Could Play Guitar

Geek/Rocker eye candy of the day:

I want one.

Wednesday, August 1, 2007

Hey Cottenmouth!

Here's another reason to buy an Xbox 360. This game can be fun.

Mutants Fighting Once Again

Fuck, this game sounds like it has some promise, but there is also a game called Marvel Nemesis that sucked ass. As long as they actually put in some time to the game, it can become a mix of Tekken and Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2. Which means a great fighting system with added super powered awesomeness. I hope there are a shitload of characters and destructible environments along with great gameplay. Oh please, EA, make this a game that's worth buying.

So I have been comic-booking...

This is the Spidey suit that Tony Stark, (Iron Man) made for him.
Nickname: Iron Spider.

Go ahead and tell me this thing isn't damn sweet...you're a liar.

I'm sure that everyone already knows...

Captain America is Dead.

Anyone with copies of the entire "Civil War" crossover series...I need them. Immediately.
