I Miss the Internet

So moving into an apartment with no internet suuuuuuuuuccckksssss! I just found out that I graduated, which there would have been no reason for me not to, but now its confirmed. Yay! I receive my diploma in 4 to 6 weeks. Anyways, I want the damn internet. I'm stuck at my parents house, using their crappy computer right now. Torture. If I knew we weren't going to have the internet within a couple of days of us moving in, I would have set it up a month ago. There are so many songs I need to download. Same thing with the cable...or satellite (kill me)...but what we have now is just awful.

PS. Satellite radio rocks!

PPS. As much as reality television sucks, I can't stop watching it. I watched a couple of episodes of A Shot At Love II tonight, and they are horrible! BUT, I can't stop watching. Its mesmerizing. No wonder why Americans are so stupid.

I Haven't Been Around Much...

...And I'm sorry for that. I have been way too busy with work, school, and hanging out with some friends I haven't seen in a while. Sue me. So keep that in mind when I don't post as much this school year. I don't have a desk job where I can look at news stories all day (cough kiznox, rambo cough). I will try my hardest to bring you the latest happenings in this world.

In related news, Hank lost his wallet tonight. Tragic event.

In other news, we found some new patio furniture and a new coffee table. All rejoice!

Such a Busy Weekend!

Well, I'm back! I know I haven't posted in a while, but I've been way too busy and my computer has been disconnected for the past 3 days. But now that I'm back, you can enjoy the mysterious wonder that is...ME!

So, about my weekend. Friday, I didn't do much. Hung out at home and rested up. Not much to report on.

Saturday, well, Saturday sucked...at first. Got up at 7am to drive to Kiznox's place so we can drive to get the Uhaul trailer. On the way back to his house, we see a traffic accident. Some guy apparently didn't have brakes and ran a red, sideswiping a Cadillac. Nice start to the day. So we get to his place and load up the trailer. It's about 9:30 or 10am and Kiznox and his dad head over to our buddy's place to load up his shit while I went home to load up my sister's car with as much stuff as I could fit. about 10:30 or 11 they get to my place. We load up my stuff and get on the road by noon. That's when the rain hit. We drove in some hard rain for a bit, which slowed me down, as I was going ahead to check in and get a key. That passes, luckily. I get here at around 1:30 and start unloading my car. Everyone else arrives and parks and unloads. The Uhaul gets here and has to circle the parking lot 3 times before they just decide to block in a bunch of cars and park. Unloading that was fine...until we got to the couches. Damn, Kiznox's couch was a bitch. That fucker was heavy. Also, stairs suck. Well, 3:30 rolls around and I take off to go home to go to a wedding. I almost pass out on the road but make it home around 5pm. I take a shower and get ready for the wedding. I had fun, got drunk and went to bed around 2am. Here's where it gets shitty.

Sunday, I wake up at 7am to go to work by 8. Work til 4, wasn't so bad. Got paid $100 cash. Went to Meijer to get some shit before I left and my boss here calls me. He asks me to work from 11pm to 4am and I would get paid $9/hour. So I agree. I pack up my car and drive back here at around 6:30. Unload and get done around 8ish. Sit, drink a beer, shower and go to work. Fuck I'm tired.

I barely got sleep last night.

Oh Paramount, How Could You?!

Recently, Paramount and DreamWorks have announced an exclusivity deal with the HD DVD format. Well, that apparently pissed off director Michael Bay, who will not direct Transformers 2 because of this. Stating "I want people to see my movies in the best formats possible. For them to deny people who have Blu-ray sucks!" While I agree with him on this, he's missing out on a chance to direct a sequel to one of the best movies this summer.

Barry Bonds, What A Fuckhead

So Barry Bonds hit homerun #756 last night, passing Hank Aaron for the record for career homeruns. While this is a great feat, I don't think he deserves the recognition. Fuck Bonds. How does a guy go from hitting about 30 homeruns in his earlier career to hitting upwards of 70 homeruns in his late 30s, early 40s? How does a guy grow in size when he's that age? Well, the answer is steroids. Everyone knows he does it. Why are people treating him like he deserves this honor? I read an article in the Detroit News that was basically bashing Bonds' recent activities and I fully agreed with the author of that article. Bonds does not deserve to have this many homeruns. If he wasn't juiced up, he'd be at 550, at most. When A-Rod beats this record, I'll actually give him some credit.

So a bridge across the Mississippi River, well, umm, collapsed earlier today. During rush hour, no less. I'm flabbergasted.

This Really Irks Me...Like, A Lot

So, I don't smoke [cigarettes]. Like ever. Smoking them makes me want to rip out my esophagus and strangle myself to death with it. But I am very lenient when it comes to my friends smoking, especially in my car. I let my friends smoke in my car, as long as they try to keep most of it outside and try not to burn anything (burn it and buy it sort of thing). Ok, I'm fine with that. I just find it very rude that when some of my friends smoke in my car they roll up the window while blowing out the last bit of smoke. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! I don't know if they can smell cigarette smoke anymore, but I can smell it like it's being blasted straight into my nostrils. So please, if you have an ounce of kindness in your body, keep the fucking window rolled down until the fucking smell is out of my car!

Check this shit out. So Tom Monaghan, the crazy Catholic founder of Domino's Pizza, and Ave Maria University are teaming up to create a perpetual fucktard of a community: A Completely Catholic Community. Think that I am being a bit nutty about this? Here is a sample: "Monaghan once stated that commercial leases in the town would enforce beliefs consistent with the Catholic faith, including prohibiting the sale of pornography or contraceptives and banning the performance of abortions."

I'm not kidding. They have their own website put together giving brief details on the community as it develops. The picture above, I believe, is a pretty good indication of the progress being made.

Well, Fuck that. There are so many things wrong with what is going on in Florida that I hardly know where to begin...

This definitely goes towards most of America's theory about Florida being the retarded cousin of the US. How do we know this? Well, Ave Maria College was founded in Michigan. MICHIGAN didn't want this shit to happen, and MI isn't even that much of a blue state. (This is the same MI that elected Kwame Kilpatrick as Mayor of Detroit)

The legal aspects alone are intense. Banning the sale of contraceptives? Really? That is a huge No. Not allowing abortions? Also a fucking No. The American Civil Liberties Union is going to have a field day with these bastards.

So how does this stuff happen in modern day America? I am not entirely sure yet. I would speculate that it has something to do with the War in Iraq/Afghanistan/soon to be the entire Middle East, the War on Terror, and the ridiculous fear-mongering of the Bush regime. We seem to be stuck in a dictator's Holy War. What other options to the nut ball religious have other than clumping together? It seems to make sense. However, it should not be allowed. From what I am seeing, this area has incredible control over the businesses that it allows within the community. Yet we have anti-discrimination laws barring just this thing from happening.

What I am saying is that this type of community is bad for the surrounding areas in Florida, the state itself, and, really, the rest of the nation. Beyond that, this community should leave a bad taste in the mouth of any good Catholic as it goes as far as breaking one the Cardinal rules. "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbors house. (Unless they happen to not be Catholic, then make sure they cannot even get into town)."

On a side-note, since I barely give a shit but am looking for as much as I can to throw into the canon: "This community has drawn criticism from environmental and conservation groups, especially for the threat it may pose to the endangered Florida Panther." The damn community is located in the heart of a panther habitat.

Florida now has a community completely dedicated to intolerant, Catholic views. I hope the whole thing burns to the ground after a "Shocking" revelation that their priest is raping their children.
