One more thing before I'm off to bed. So I haven't smoked in two weeks - or maybe more. Which is unusual for me. But it amazes me how badly my generalized anxiety and panic attacks have come back. I miss my bud (haha get it?)
Seriously, anyone who doesn't believe in the use of medical marijuana, let me give my own personal thumbs up. I know it's not great for my throat, but the juice is certainly worth the squeeze.
Incidentally I really like the phrase "is the juice worth the squeeze"

Alright LADIES
Let's break up the passive aggressive catfight.
Post whatever you want whenever you want.
Yes Goerg and Claudio, I love to see you on here - I dunno from other people's standpoints but it's just cause I miss you guys
And Hock and Kiznox - yeah it became a bit of a sobfest for a while there, and that's fine, but just because YOU guys have a lot to say doesn't mean we all do. We've all taken breaks from posting. Doesn't mean people aren't reading.
We made this shit because we're friends. Personally I'M sick of the bitchy comments. You'd think I was the straight one and YOU guys were the queers ;) hehehe
Miss you all - see you guys soon - 311 or maybe before. or maybe after. soon regardless

Big City Ghettos
So throughout my travels I have found out that most big cities are actually ghettos. Detroit...ghetto. Lansing...ghetto. Orlando, Louisville, and Cincinnati...ghetto. I'm not a scientist, but that seems a little strange to me. The big cities that states are known for are usually their ghettos. I guess that's where the scum want to live, it just seems weird to me that that is also where the big businesses are. I guess I'll never understand it.
P.S. Go Red Wings!!!!!
P.S. Go Red Wings!!!!!
Part VII
There is this Asian guy on YouTube that goes by the name Luxe37, and he makes some sweet ass stop-motion/live-action toy car chases. I have no real clue what any story is supposed to be, but so far there are 8 parts. This one is, according to the title of this post, #7. I'm not saying it's the best one of the series, I just really like it. #6 is also very good. I suggest watching them all
Deviled Eggs
Today Goerg and I made a shit ton of deviled eggs.
Nothing special, but apparently Hock just wants us to post as often as possible regardless of how insignificant it is, so we're "contributing".
By the way, I totally agree with Goerg about what the blog turned into there for a little while.

Vegas...
I am going to Las Vegas this Sunday. Yup, for work. Yup, could be a downer...but! I am starting to get really excited for this trip.
Its going to be one hell of an experience. I will be working my ass off, but I get to go somewhere. I have been thinking about how awesome it is going to be to go...well...anywhere. I have never been to Vegas, and quite a few people have told me great things about it. I dont gamble much, mostly because blackjack is not a cheap game to play, but there is so much to do. I doubt that I will have a ton of time, but I WILL DO SOMETHING EXCITING AND FUN!!!
Anybody got ideas that dont involve tattoos or hookers about things to do in las vegas!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

You know youre an alcoholic when...
you get that same "empty pocket" feeling when you dont have any beer left in the fridge as you would get when you no longer have cigarettes.
Also,
you know youre a smoker when you actually understand the "empty pocket" feeling.

Trek Wars?
This is too good to pass up
Sorry, when it posted it cut off the right side, so I tinkered with the size for it to fit. My suggestion is just watch it in full-screen

Can a brutha get a post?
First off, Hock, don't tell me what to do. I haven't posted on the CFuck in a while because it was going in this "My Life Sucks" direction...and that ain't my bag. But I read anything and commented, so isn't that enough?
I have barely reached over half way through the next batch of 50 movies. I have stopped cramming them into my day, mostly because I fall asleep super early and never have anytime to do so. So I'll post these twenty some odd movies for your enjoyment.
Cream of the Crop: Fanboys, Under The Hood/Tales of the Black Freighter, I Love You, Man, Twilight, The Ice Harvest, Monster vs. Aliens 3D, The Last Kiss, Adventureland, Observe and Report, I Want Someone to Eat Cheese With, Push
Comments: As far as the Watchmen side stories are concerned, Black Freighter was boring (and not how I remember it in the novel), but Under The Hood was awesome and really well done. It was definitely a good extra. Observe and Report was surprisingly serious and dark, very good. Claudio and I saw MvA3D on shrooms...it rocked. I saw I Love You Man in theatres twice with Claudio (but he only saw it 1 time and ten minutes of the other). Rudd/Segel combination hit it off the charts! I did enjoy Twilight, but not as much as all the hype. I have been on a Kristen Stewart kick as of late, I think she is a great actress and a fox, in that grungy rock chick way that I like so much! Push had a really interesting take on the super hero thing. It's worth a watch.
Middle of the Road: Nick of Time, Sould Out: A Threevening with Kevin Smith, Factory Girl, The Tracey Fragments, PS I Love You, Hitch, T2: Judgement Day, Marley & Me, In The Land of Women
Comments: Factory Girl was the story of Edie Sedgewick and Andy Warhol and it was really great except for that Bob Dylan was played by Hayden "Ruins Movies" Christiensen! He can't act! PS I Love You and Marley were terribly sad. Sold Out was very funny but his stories were extremely long winded.
Swing and a Miss: Bride Wars, Arthur and the Invisibles, The Sandlot 3: Heading Home, The Fountain, Bottoms Up
Comments: True Story, Claudio and I watched Bride Wars and not two weeks later, I redownloaded it not even thinking I had ever seen it. How bad must that movie be? Bottoms Up had Jason Mewes in it, so it had promise, but the acting and writing was bad on it, so thumbs down. The Fountain was too confusing for me to get into. Sandlot 3 plot: Luke Perry goes back in time to save the sandlot...and to set his life right.
Peace,
GOERG

You know you're getting old when... (part 2)
You're the last one to finish when shotgunning a beer
You wake up by 8am every day regardless of how tired you are
You realize that zits are not just a phase you go through during puberty
You start thinking that people in their 30s are in your generation
You look in the mirror and honestly are surprised at what you see - several times (swear to god, this happened to me today, I thought I was having an acid flashback)
You make inadvertent grunts and groans every time you stand up or sit down
You can predict what parts of your body are going to hurt the next day
Movies that came out during your lifetime are being remade
i.e. Batman, The Neverending Story, Clue, The Bad Seed, Day of the Dead, Escape from New York, The Hills Have Eyes Part II (the original part I is from the late 70s), The Hulk, The Hitcher, Friday the 13th (a little old, but worth mentioning), Can't Buy Me Love, Man On Fire, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe etc.
You have a significant other and still haven't had sex for 2 months (I know it's the distance... but fuck I'm horny)
Your favorite features of your car are the electrically powered, plush, comfortable seats and manually dimmable dashboard lights (in case the bright lights are hurting your eyes at night)
You find yourself falling on the back end of technology because you just don't feel like putting in the effort to learn how it works
You find yourself ignoring new popular music because for the most part it "just isn't as good as music was 10 years ago"
You realize a few beers and a few bowls with good friends is better than any of the parties you've ever been to

You know you're getting old when...
You get pots and pans for your birthday...and get ridiculously giddy.
You poop 3 times in 5 hours and it is mostly farts. (although, that could have been the drinking coupled with the 3am munchfest of chocolate chocolate cake.)
You get a ton of laundry done, put it away, and admire how sexy your closet now looks.
Your back hurts. From carrying laundry. Seriously.
You start listening to NPR on line. Why the fuck am I listening to this?
You get annoyed with elevators and let your mind wander to this weird magical place where elevators take you directly to your destination, not just the door, even though you are a mere 30 feet from said destination when you actually get off.
You think to yourself, "gee, I wonder if Julia Roberts is still a good lay."
You leave the computer to go poop/fart again.
You not only receive, but actually read, (with interest) the AAA magazine that explains all of your AAA membership benefits. Did you know, as a AAA member, that I save 10% on books, DVDs, CDs, and other purchases at Barnes and Noble? AND, that I get an extra 15% off the most expensive item in my order? Did you know that I never fucking shop there but am about to start? Cause I am.
You bitch about your medicare benefits...cause we all have none. Like, NONE. Medicare is spending more than it is bringing in. Damn kids, not putting enough into my fucking retirement.
You shower, mostly, sitting down.
You really just dont "get" twitter.
You're still wondering about Julia Roberts, even though you really dont find her attractive but feel like if you could time travel to the days of Pretty Woman it would be worth it.
You decide not to close your closet doors because they are mirrors and that would be depressing because gravity and laziness are not as kind as you really wish they would be.
You miss Tom Cavanagh being on television.
You realize that you never really grow up...just become more aware of every moment as time goes on.
You appreciate that you never actually killed yourself doing the dumb shit that you did in high school.
You finally feel pride in who and what you are.

Internet and time
I got the internets working and the time to type something, so here it goes
Hold on. I know I have something to say.
No...wait...oh, damn, I got nothing really.
Wolverine was a decent movie, but the special effects on the claws were laughable. LAUGHABLY BAD! That is inexcusable in today's world where special effects are beyond spectacular. This movie had a huge budget, yet the claws looked 1000 times better in the first Xmen movie, which came out 9 years ago! The rest of the movie was pretty decent though, despite the 107 minute run time.
Star Trek on the other hand, was PHENOMENAL! I was never a fan of Star Trek, but this movie is definitely a winner. It is a re-imagining of the original story, with a shit-ton more action and a good script. This movie may win over those (like myself) who previously hated the series, and with good reason. This movie rocks! Everyone played their parts exceptionally well. I didn't even know Eric Bana was the bad guy, Nero. I suggest everyone sees it, especially you Claudio. I know it'll make you go from 6 to midnight.
I am super excited for Terminator Salvation
I still hate my job
I also hate Sports Center's Top 10 not listing Jiri Hudler's goal from yesterday's Red Wings game anywhere in there. He slapped the puck out of the air for a goal. I don't watch SC very often, so if it's the Top 10 from today only, then that's just stupid. Fuck you, fuckers
Why is it that when I get deja vu, its always something stupid and insignificant? Why can't I get deja vu when I'm getting a BJ or something better?
Well, its time to sleep so I can get up for another day of bullshit

Greetings From Canadia, Eh
Well Canada is amazing. I'm having an absolute blast, have made a bunch of new friends, and generally have been working my nuts off. In general, we start at 8:30am and I get home around 10:30pm. It's intense, but I already feel like I've known the people here for years because of the amount of time we spend together. A lot of people rag on me about my American accent (their favorite is how I say "backpack" - and last night they got a good laugh out of how I said "the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" - which usually comes out much more like "the wreckathee eh-mmm fitzjairl"). It's fun though - makes me kind of proud of it in a bassackwards kind of way.
It's weird being away from home for so long, and away from people I know, but it'll be fine - I know it'll be over before I know it. I've been pretty manic since I got here - probably the combination of lack of sleep, sensory overload, different environment, etc. I tend to get myself into stupid loops of thinking - in particular, for some reason, about Patrick - but I do this sometimes, so I just have to keep myself in check. I just miss him... and for that matter everyone, but I suppose I've already had time to adjust to not seeing you guys as much as I wish I could. I'm excited to get back to MI, but I know how much I'm gonna miss it here. Its just different, ya know.
Anyway, I hope those of you who are going to summer camp have a blast (since I can almost guarantee I won't see you before you go) and I'm thinking about you all a lot. See you guys soon.
Much Love

All's well that ends well
Glad to see things are starting to look up. :)
And frankly, sometimes it takes a little bit of collective dickery before things can get smoothed out.
On my end? Well, I love Canada, have quickly befriended the majority of the people here, sang a master class for the head of the NY festival of song and one of the casting directors for NYC opera - who told me my performance was emotionally devastating (much higher praise than a lot of people got), and his only suggestion was to pull it back to avoid freaking out the audience too much (I sang the angry one of the set I did in Lansing)
And... I was awarded a 5000 dollar scholarship for school next year to complete my studies.
So life ain't all that bad I suppose :)
Also - my new car is the FUCKING SHIT!!! It's like two couches on wheels. Just wait until I put some new speakers in that bitch.

And to clarify...
no one was hurt. The apartments dont have even minimal smoke damage. And she is absolutely fine.
Which is all great.
And, frankly, I have been thinking quite a bit about the situation and...well...I guess I can be a fucking asshole sometimes. Thats a completely serious statement...and something that I should work on.

You know what?
I am really looking forward to the summer.
My life will be way easier at work.
I wont make any fucking money...and I dont care.
I'll have a vacation...somewhere.
I'm going to try to see some concert. Any concert. I'll consider it a success if I get to go to fucking Mac's and see someone that I have at least heard of.
I'll finally have enough time to have any time. For anything. Time to sit and relax. Time to breathe. Time to not let my frustrations get the best of me. Time to go out with friends that I haven't been able to see in forever. Time for a hobby. Time for a life. Time to walk up to random people and say, "Hi."
Time.
Maybe enough to smoke some fucking pot every once in a while.
The place I work was founded by one of history's biggest fuck-ups...and I don't believe for an instant that old habits left the building as quickly as we are forced to usher them out the door.
And there it is. There is what has been getting to me. And it shows. At least, I feel like it shows. I feel like I have grown up without realizing it. Or, grown up in a lot of ways and missed the opportunity to actually let it happen. Or not grown up at all and had no time to even try. Or...fuck it.
I want to be me and I have not been that in a quite a while.
Me is the guy who crawls inside of a speaker like its some sort of vibrating turtle shell just so I can be near the fucking bass. Me is the guy that has a creative shit storm going on inside that grey or pink matter inside my skull. Me is the person with hopes and dreams and enough belief in the impossible and improbable to make it happen. Me is the guy that I love to hate because even I fucking argue with him. Me is everything that I have been missing...Me is getting a comeback chance in the next couple of weeks.
And Me is very fucking happy about it.

Things and Stuff
I think I know what I want to do with my life. I want to drive a car really fast and recklessly. I would have the time of my life just being a stunt driver. Sure I could get hurt, but I don't care. If I could drive a car with total disregard for everything, within the aspect of a scripted event, it would be an euphoric experience for me. Fast and Furious wasn't the greatest flick in the world, but the driving is top notch and that is what I want to do. I want to drive. Drive fast. Drive fun. Crash things. Have fun. That's what life should be about, having fun.
Hotel bars suck. They are expensive, boring, and almost never better than any other bar. Their only upside is convenience. They are located in the hotel, so you can get drunk and walk (err, stumble) back to your room. But if you get that drunk, it would be like $50. Fuck you hotel bars!
Nancy Grace needs a better job. She's been talking about the same story for at least 2 months now. Literally! Every time I pass by the channel she's on, it's ALWAYS the same story. Why does she have a fucking show?! She's not even attractive. She's an ugo with a big mouth. How does she have a show!?

Phone
If any of you tried to call me this weekend, if you happened to be in town, my phone was on the fritz. I had the Disturbed concert Saturday night at Cobo and spent a lot of the night at Greektown and was pretty unreachable anyway. It should be alright now, they found a problem with the battery. I would get a call and then not get a call, etc. Really really hope I didn't miss anyone...
Community
A new comedy about community college starring Joel McHale, Chevy Chase, John Oliver (is that his name?). This sounds very promising. Look for it in the fall on NBC.

Thanks Karma...
So this might be wrong...this might be horrible to say...but,
HAHAHAHA!
The building attached to yours caught fire today. It may have destroyed your apartment. The block surrounding your place is barricaded and no one is allowed in. For days.
I know I shouldnt really feel this good about it. But still, I do.
Pretty fucking twisted, though.

Life is not that bad
Working is not that bad
If you hate everything, you've made the choice to do so
I've got news for you: this is as good as it gets. and it's fucking amazing. Life is a gift that we all take for granted. Stop focusing on the negative, start focusing on the positive.
Did you eat today? Are you getting paid for what you do? Do you have a roof over your head? Are you reasonably healthy? Are there people out there who love you?
The answer is yes. No question
Today is only today. This year is only this year
We are young, vibrant, intelligent, talented people
If our jobs/classes/work/relationships/friends/worlds don't suit us
then FUCKING CHANGE THEM
I'm lucky to have the job I have, even though it doesn't pay me enough to survive. I'm happy for the friends I have, even if the only way I see them is if I drive for hours on end to do so. I have learned more from "classwork" than my grades, or a diploma, or a degree, or multiple degrees will ever indicate.
CARPE FUCKING DIEM
I'm sorry for having complained so much on here. I'm a spoiled brat in the grander scheme of things. And I'm gonna do my best to recognize how great I have it.
ps. this is not meant to piss anyone off, but seriously. let's make a difference here. we are all way too good to put up with bullshit against our will

Can I quit my job?
Or my life?
Cause...maybe...its just so fucking lame that I would give anything to be nothing.
Just watching Forgetting Sarah Marshall and wishing that life was more like...well, anything but this.

Dear Kim Kardashian
I have just two questions.
1) Who the fuck are you and why do you and your vapid, annoying family have a TV show.
and (on a related note)
2) What the FUCK EVER gave you the idea that THIS was a good idea:

Sick. I think I just vomited in my mouth a little. It's bad enough your ass is the size of Liechtenstein, do you have to draw attention to it with an eighties disaster consisting of a Unitard and multicolor sequined tights?

Brief Update Before I'm Off To Canadia
So yesterday, and this week in general, was hell. I had to do all of my work for finals a week early (which is almost all done, except for one 8 page paper/project). Yesterday started off by me waking up early to grade exams for an hour and a half, then I went into school where I promptly received a 50 dollar parking ticket. Shortly after I heard the news that my Mom has been temporarily laid off - 9 weeks. Her entire department now no longer exists, so she's not optimistic that they will hire her back, this just means that they don't have to offer her any severance pay or benefits upon leaving. In the last 6 months, her department went from 25 people to 2, her boss and her. Her boss was also laid off yesterday.
I then paid my 180.00 cable bill from the last two months, my 120.00 phone bill from last month (because I have had so little money recently that my phone was shut off and I had to pay a reactivation fee). I then packed and worked on a CD I had to make for a project that is due tuesday - it took too long to burn, however, so the office was already closed when I went to turn it in and it is now residing with the first person I thought I could pawn it off onto, even though I'm not confident that he will turn it in on time.
Then Doug and I left for Michigan. About 20 minutes down 37, it became apparent that there was something wrong with my transmission. Then the power steering went, and my battery light came on. We stopped to check it out, and in addition to the transmission going, the serpentine belt had snapped and was no more. I managed to get the car to volunteers of america while Sian drove up to Indy, picking up Doug on the way, and picked up a rental car at the airport to drive us up to Michigan because her tires are fucked. Volunteers of America wouldn't let me leave my car there. In fact, they were angry that I was even waiting in their parking lot for my sister to get there so we could make alternate plans. Founded in Christ my ass. I asked if I could leave it there, and their response was "No sir, this is private property we'll have your vehicle towed". "What if I call first thing in the morning?" "We can't let you do that sir, this is private property, if you leave it here we will tow your vehicle." "Well do you have any suggestions of someplace I could take my car." "No. You need to move your vehicle, sir, this is private property." Keep in mind this was all via intercom while I was standing in the freezing rain. And it took me a while before I could even get them to turn on the intercom, instead of trying to talk through the door. And I got news for y'all: saying "sir" makes things infinitely LESS polite. If they had said "I'm sorry, but there's nothing we can do to help you," I would have been more appreciative.
So Sian and Doug got there and I followed them to Aaron's sister's, another 20 miles away, as my headlights slowly dimmed. Thankfully we made it, even though by the time we got there it smelled as if the engine was on fire. Now I find out that they might tow my car ANYWAY, because it doesn't have a plate on it anymore because I needed to bring the plate up to put on my new car. Oh I forgot to mention - the plate transfer cost 150.00. We made it home at about 3:00am, when I had left Bloomington at 5.
So moral of the story? No complaints about your lives to me for at least 2 weeks, I got ya beat.
Much love,
J Cottonmouth
