Thats right, it is, in fact, a mathematical equation solving the "seat up or seat down?" dilemna.
*Actual portion of piece:
"In this paper, we internalize the cost of yelling and model the conflict as a non-cooperative game between two species, males and females. We find that the social norm of leaving the toilet seat down is inefficient. However, to our dismay, we also find that the social norm of always leaving the toilet seat down after use is not only a Nash equilibrium in pure strategies but is also trembling-hand perfect. So, we can complain all we like, but this norm is not likely to go away."
So if you ever find yourself wasting time, doing nothing, bored out of your freaking mind to the point that you could actually watch a movie on Lifetime, just remind yourself that someone else has already reached a depth of boredome so low that nothing you could ever do will top it.
*Interesting side note: The dude that wrote this is an Economist. Funny.
And in actual IMPORTANT news, the Democrats are having a televised debate on CNN tonight...actually, right now.
Until its over...Peace.
