Hey, Kiznox

You might want to reconsider cracking your knuckles every five minutes. Taken from an article on msn.com:

The same study found knuckle crackers to be far more likely to have weaker grip strength and greater hand swelling, both of which can limit dexterity. As for osteoarthritis, that's more likely due to genetics and increasing age.

Bottom Line: Try turning your nervous energy into a less harmful habit that occupies your hands (such as doodling). If a different activity doesn't get you to stop, try putting a large rubber band around your wrist and every time you catch yourself cracking your knuckles, pull it back and let it snap as a reminder that your habit really can be harmful. Most important, get to the bottom of what's causing your nervousness in the first place—you may crack your knuckles more often at work than at home, for example—and address those sources directly.

So I Figured It Out

Whenever I pick out a girl, she ends up being a loony. There's no middle ground, she's just nuts. Every girl I've slept with has been nutty (except for your sister, Cottonmouth...yes!), but I don't even know how to explain this one. She is everything I want and everything I hate. Fuck. Why can't this work out for me once? Just once. Is that so much to ask for?

Last Night I Made a Discovery

I went out to the bar last night to celebrate my friend getting a job and moving to Maryland. While at the bar, we met a couple of ladies. I was talking to one of them and realized that we had nothing to talk about. That got me thinking...my game shows up at random intervals. Some days I can spit some amazing game and others I just fall flat on my face. Most of the time its the latter. I'm just waiting to find that one girl that triggers something in my head and gives me loads of things to talk to her about with no awkward pauses and everything goes perfectly. I don't know where or when that will happen, but I know I will never give my hopes up. I just have to be in the right place at the right time. Until then, here's a picture:

Well, I've Decided to Come Back...

...and post again. The only thing is, I don't have much to talk about right now. At the end of this month I'll be 23 years old. Do you know what that means? I'll be 23, still in school, still not knowing what the fuck I want/need to do with my life, and fucking horny as hell. This sucks. I don't feel like doing much anymore. My rationale for doing things depends on my roommates and not on what I want to do. That is a piss-poor way of living life. Although, I guess I'm better off than these twins.

Well, anyways, my experiment is a success so far. I've been intentionally putting the toilet paper on the bathtub edge (closest spot to the wall where the dispenser is) to see if anyone in this apartment will put forth the effort to take the 10 seconds it takes to change the toilet paper and actually put it on the dispenser. So far its been 3 days since its been changed and I've moved the toilet paper roll back to the tub at least 5 times so far...the laziness continues.

Apparently I can't work on Saturdays without being yelled at. The one time Larz wants to stay up here for a weekend, he gets pissed off that I want to help out my boss (for bargaining power) and make extra money for myself. That's just some selfish bullshit. I can see where he's coming from and I didn't have to take the shift, but damn, if you want to make money in this country you're gonna have to make some sacrifices.

So Larz bought Mass Effect yesterday...I wanted to play that with him...I wanted that to happend with Bioshock too..but he has nothing but time and I actually have to do shit, so more than likely I'll have to go back and play everything over again anyways. That's how this apartment handles things, whatever is the most inefficient way of doing thing is the best way of doing things. I really hope everyone watches him play that game, just so I can make them sit through it again when I play it. Yeah, it may be twisted, but I'm sick of being pushed out of my apartment, so to speak. That might be a little harsh, but I don't really know how else to say it. Basically, for all of ya'll that are going to read this, I want someone to take the tiniest bit of initiative and clean something (bathroom, kitchen floor, vacuum, whatever) and I don't just mean clean up all the random trash that accumulates on the table. That's not cleaning, that's throwing away your trash. That's another thing (and this is no attack, I'm not blaming this on anyone) but I hate our coffee table. It just breeds trash and is an amazing haven for ash. I have a theory that all the nice electronics that I own breaks because no one knows how to take care of a fucking electronic device. I can't even bring this up to anyone because no one ever gives a shit about anything around here. I hope that if I live in this city next year that none of the bills are in my name...fuck that...

Funny History Lesson (FYI: It bashes Liberals but I'm putting it up anyway)

Humans originally existed as members of small bands of nomadic hunters/gatherers. They lived on deer in the mountains during the summer and would go to the coast and live on fish and lobster in the winter. The two most important events in all of history were the invention of beer and the invention of the wheel. The wheel was invented to get man to the beer. These were the foundation of modern civilization and together were the catalyst for the splitting of humanity into two distinct subgroups:
1. Liberals
2. Conservatives.

Once beer was discovered, it required grain and that was the beginning of agriculture. Neither the glass bottle nor aluminum can were invented yet, so while our early humans were sitting around waiting for them to be invented, they just stayed close to the brewery. That's how villages were formed. Some men spent their days tracking and killing animals to B-B-Q at night while they were drinking beer. This was the beginning of what is known as the Conservative movement. Other men who were weaker and less skilled at hunting learned to live off the conservatives by showing up for the nightly B-B-Q's and doing the sewing, fetching, and hair dressing. This was the beginning of the Liberal movement.

Some of these liberal men eventually evolved into women. The rest became known as girliemen. Some noteworthy liberal achievements include the domestication of cats, the invention of group therapy, group hugs, and the concept of Democratic voting to decide how to divide the meat and beer that conservatives provided. Over the years conservatives came to be symbolized by the largest, most powerful land animal on earth, the elephant. Liberals are symbolized by the Jackass. Modern liberals like imported beer (with lime a dded), but most prefer white wine or imported bottled water. They eat raw fish but like their beef well done. Sushi, tofu, and French food are standard liberal fare. Another interesting evolutionary side note: most of their women have higher testosterone levels than their men. Most social workers, personal injury attorneys, journalists, dreamers in Hollywood and group therapists are liberals. Liberals invented the designated hitter rule because it wasn't fair to make the pitcher also bat. Conservatives drink domestic beer. They eat red meat and still provide for their women. Conservatives are big-game hunters, rodeo cowboys, lumberjacks, construction workers, firemen, medical doctors, police officers, corporate executives, athletes, Marines and generally anyone who works productively. Conservatives who own companies hire other conservatives who want to work for a living. Liberals produce little or nothing. They like to govern the producers and decide what to do with the production. Liberals believe Europeans are more enlightened than Americans. That is why most of the liberals remained in Europe when conservatives were coming to America. They crept in after the Wild West was tamed and created a business of trying to get more for nothing.

If I'm going to Die, I might as well go Down FIGHTING!

Jack Bauer: At age 68 you will die fighting the Interplanetary War on Terrorism on Phobos, a moon of Mars. But single-handedly winning the war.

Kiznox...

So what you're telling me is that you think the world is flat? If you believe it is flat, you will go to your grave defending that you believe that is true. You apparently have no grasp on the concept of being wrong. You should try out for The View. You'd fit in perfectly, until Barbra Walters has you killed. I love ya, buddy, but you have to accept the fact that you can be wrong sometimes. It's not gonna kill you. Until I stick a grenade on your back and then turn around and shoot Hank for a double kill. Fuck yeah Halo 3!

Have My Prayers Been Answered

So apparently.

JAKE GYLLENHAAL'S PUBLICIST IS RUMORED TO ADMIT IN A PRESS RELEASE AT THE END OF NEXT MONTH THAT THE LOVE OF MY LIFE IS GAY.

For a long time, Ted Casablanca (an eonline columinst) has been referring to a gay actor he knows of as "Toothy Tile" to keep his identity a secret, and probably, to avoid being sued for slander. He will always, however, answer emails that ask if it is a certain celebrity if it is NOT him. Jake's name has remained very obviously off of this list. The list of denied actors so far?
Orlando Bloom
Will Smith
Val Kilmer
Tobey Maguire
Joaquin Phoenix
Rob Thomas
Scott Speedman
Matt Damon
Michael Vartan
Elijah Wood
Vin Deisel
Keanu Reeves
Jamie Foxx
Ben Affleck
Leo DiCaprio
Seann William Scott
Adam Brody
Ryan Cabrera
Topher Grace
Hayden Christiansen
James Franco
Chris Klein
Jared Leto
Julian McMahon
Christian Bale
Ashton Kutcher
Justin Timberlake
Tom Cruise
Zack Braff
Brandon Davis
50 Cent
Jesse Metcalf
Johnny Knoxville
Mark Wahlberg
Tobey Maguire

Rumor has it Jake was caught by cops having sex in the back of a car behind a chinese restaurant. Hot

Jake has been seen around with Day After Tomorrow costar (well... not really star, but he was in it) Austin Nichols. A lot. And what do I think? I think these pictures of them from a recent Lakers game speak for themselves:

Even if I'm not dating someone, it's usually pretty obvious from my body language if I'm interested (and even more so if they're interested back). Dead giveaway? Shoulders or knees touching.

He's only 5 years older than me. And if I become a famous opera singer... it could... conceivably... maybe... possibly happen. :)

Nighttime Rant About Stubbornness and Stupidity

I'll start off with a funny story about stubbornness. I just don't get it sometimes. About an hour ago Kiznox and I were watching a movie and he started to pass out. I told him he should go to the bed in his room or at the very least the couch right next to us, because I was using the couch he was passing out on. He says "no I'm fine, I'm still listening to the movie." So about 5 minutes later he hunches over and passes out in some awkward position. I was hoping he stayed like that all night but he just woke up. At least I got a good picture out of it. If he did stay like that I would of laughed at him when he woke up with a sore neck.

So what makes people so stubborn? I can see why someone is stubborn on some viewpoint because that is what they believe in. But, why be so stubborn with something that is easily remedied? Isn't it better in the long run to take a minute of your time to save yourself from possible aching later on? I think stubbornness stems from narrow-mindedness. Looking for comfort in the short run doesn't let you think about the consequence in the long run. I'm sure I'm guilty of this from time to time, but that doesn't make me understand this any better. Humans are whacked out...

Which brings me to my next rant. Why the fuck are people so fucking stupid? How hard is it to walk on a fucking sidewalk? I know there are quite a few Asian people here, but the majority of people I'm going to be talking about are white. To make things a whole lot easier, everyone should walk on the right side of the sidewalk in whatever direction they are walking (you know, like driving). I thought this would be common sense. I thought wrong. I hate it when someone is walking at me and I'm on the far right side of the sidewalk and they expect me to move and then we come to a point where we go through the "dance" and both of us try to go the same way and fucking Christ that's annoying. Also, why does everyone think they own the sidewalk? Why get mad at me for walking on the PUBLIC sidewalk and not moving when they are walking 3 deep so they take up the whole thing. I'm not moving for those assholes. They don't own the fucking thing. Dickheads.

Also, how hard is it to use a crosswalk? When the light is green on the street you are trying to cross, that means you shouldn't be walking in the street (with the exception of no cars on the road). Again, you'd think this would be common sense. The fuckers in this city are so rude. Some of them just don't care. They'll walk out in front of your car and with any luck you'll still make the light. To turn this around on the drivers, PEDESTRIANS HAVE THE RIGHT OF WAY, ASSHOLES! When it's their turn, of course. I don't care if the walk sign doesn't change. I know when it's my time to cross the street, you can fucking wait.

That's all I really wanted to say at this moment.

Cottonmouth, I'll totally go to the STS9 concert.

Peace out, donkey lips.

A little more in support of Dakota

I once had a conversation with my mother, who was born basically right smack dab in the middle of the baby boom, or more relevantly, during the time that produced the majority of parents of young people with the ability to vote today. I complained once to her about George W. Bush, and she mentioned the fact that as much as we wish it were not the case, JFK was the only president in her lifetime to have been worth anything (presidentially that is) and that he was not given long enough in office to demonstrate his full potential.

So now it's time for me to expand off of that (trust me Dakota, I'm not much of a politician myself, but I'm backing you up on this one). Since the baby boomer era, we have all been a part of the media age - beginning to some small degree with the rapid printing press, expanded far more by the growing popularity of radios, even more with that of television, again in the nineties with the PC era, and now at its highest iteration with the widespread popularity of the cellular phone. We live in an age where generally, less than twenty-four hours will elapse between something occurring, and our ability to hear about it (and that is very generous - most of the time information is available within minutes). I would even venture as far as to say, the American public knows too much about its government, and prospective leaders, and that knowledge causes us to have unnecessarily high expectations of our presidents - not to say that they should not be able to deliver, but that they are promising more than they can, in order to please the public.

Let's examine not only the places where some of our more recent presidents had shortcomings, but where those shortcomings have been complicated by what took place in reality. A perfect example - Georgey Sr. is famous for his speech at the Republican National Convention. After a long period of heavy recession from Carter and Reagan, Bush Sr. stated "Read my lips: no new taxes." Sounds pretty good to me! Peggy Noonan (Bush's speechwriter) definitely knew what she was doing, and what the American Public needed to hear in order to get him the vote. Unfortunately, two years later, under pressure from democrats and many more moderate republicans, he was forced to raise taxes anyway. Clinton's oval office rendezvous gave birth to Bush Jr's "down-home, American values." And this isn't the first time that suspected immorality gave way to a friendly, deep south Christian - many say that Carter won over Ford more because he was not involved with the previous presidencies (i.e. Watergate) and he offered a kind of retribution from the events of the previous few years.

In the upcoming election, Democrats clearly have the advantage - we've had eight years with a president who has not been in the public's support for at least four years, thanks to an extremely unpopular war. Democrats tend to be more on the pro peace platform, and that's what Americans want. In my opinion, however, we're in deeper than we want to admit. I think that we are still far away from peace between the middle east and the u.s. simply because nothing has truly been resolved (there is a lot to be said for the opinion that we can't exactly figure out what needs to be resolved, but that will make this rant go on for way longer than it already has). The American government has set themselves up with a lose-lose situation. Withdrawing from the Middle East will likely still not do much in the way of helping the economy. And at the end of the war, things will just start over again if we are attacked or bombed again. God forbid, but it is a real concern that we should have. I'm going to set aside the next thought for staying power.

The president cannot control what will happen during their presidency, only those things that they want to prevent from happening.

A president does not usually foresee an economic slump, or being attacked by a foreign power, or saying something incredibly stupid in a speech. Presidents are just people like anyone else, but people with the ability to say yes or no when it comes to new laws (remember our three branches people? President gets to say when we go to war, and besides that, he only okays what others have already decided in other branches of government).

So let me tie this into Dakota's post a little better now that I've offered these disjointed thoughts on government for approximately the last hour of my life. Americans do not vote as often as they should not only because there hasn't been a good president, but because even when we've tried to pick a good one, they have failed at what we really wanted them to accomplish, because their platform is more about image than implementation. Even looking at hot button issues, what would you do if you were president? Take gay marriage for example: alright I would just go ahead and okay that one, fuck you Conservative Christians :). Seriously though, gay marriage. If your paycheck and popularity as the SINGLE MOST RECOGNIZABLE CELEBRITY IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY depended largely on making people like you no matter what, I would take the moderate route a good deal as well. We offer our citizens the freedom to believe what they'd like to, but human nature is to remain divided about 50/50 on any issue in the world. We are better at complaining than praising. Even small steps forward are seen as "not far enough" to the side that supports and "way beyond the line" to those that are opposed. It is simply impossible to please a nation that wants the economy to improve, gas prices to go down, the war to end, and everyone of its opinions to be eventually on the level with the nation's goals.

So where do we go from here? People will not start voting regularly unless they feel that what they do in a vote matters - and after the hanging chad fiasco a few years back, it will likely be years until that trust is restored. Some progress has been made though. We are in the midst of a social and cultural revolution. In our generation, we're simply expected to be more well-versed in just about everything - because even someone who never leaves the house can be an expert in pretty much any field they want to at the click of a button. Already, at least the younger population is already leaning to more moderate stances, because we can read both sides of the argument, instead of only hearing what we want. As much of a pain in the ass as it was, I'm glad my high school does a three day long formal debate every junior year - at least it's nice to know that whether or not people like it, they at least hear what both sides have to say.

So I kinda went all over the place on that one, and mixed in some stuff that really wasn't on the topic of where I started, but I'm not getting graded on this, so deal with it!

From the mind of Bill Maher

For those of you who enjoy Bill Maher's political commentary, as well as social commentary, you will find the following link helpful to his HBO show's website where he lists "New Rules" based off of current events or something that simply annoys him. After he is done naming the rules he may continue to address one or he may rant about something else entirely. There is an archive of them on the web and, the last one being posted with the season finale May 25th, I have been able to dig through ones up until March 16th. Here is a "Best of Bill Maher's New Rules":

1. New Rule: Death isn't always sad. [photo of Jerry Falwell shown] This week, the Reverend Jerry Falwell died, and millions of Americans asked, "Why? Why, God? Why didn't you take Pat Robertson with him?!" I don't want to -- I don't want to say Jerry was disliked by the gay community, but, tonight, in New York City, at exactly 8:00, Broadway theaters along the Great White Way, for two minutes, turned their lights up.

Now, I know you're not supposed to speak ill of the dead, but I think we can make an exception, because speaking ill of the dead was kind of Jerry Falwell's hobby. He was the guy who said AIDS was God's punishment for homosexuality, and that 9/11 was brought on by pagans, abortionists, feminists, gays and the ACLU. Or as I like to call them, "my studio audience." But, I found it surreal this week watching people on the news praise Falwell, followed by a clip package of what he actually said. Things like, "Homosexuals are part of a vile and satanic system that will be utterly annihilated." "If you're a born again Christian, you're a failure as a... If you're not a born again Christian, you're a failure as a human being." "Feminists just need a man around the house." "There is no separation of church and state." And of course, everyone's favorite, "The purple Teletubby is gay."

Jerry Falwell found out that you could launder your hate through the cover of God's will. He didn't hate gays. God does. All Jerry Falwell's power came from name-dropping God. And gay people should steal that trick. You know what? Don't say you want something because it's your right as a human being. Say you want it because it's your religion. Gay men have been going at things backwards. Forget civil rights and just make gayness a religion. I mean, you're kneeling anyway.

2. New Rule: Flavors have to be actual flavors. Grape is a flavor. Cinnamon is a flavor. "Arctic Chill" and "Crystal Frost"? I'm pretty sure those are types of meth.

3. New Rule: Someone has to make a mustard container that doesn't squirt out yellow water before it gets to the actual mustard. Someone had to say it. I get all excited for lunch, and then Grey Poupon pees on my sandwich. I suppose I could shake the bottle first, but, f*ck you, I'm an American consumer! Not only should your mustard be pre-blended to my specifications, it should also whiten my teeth.

4. New Rule: Guns don't kill people; crazy people kill people. Last week, in response to the Virginia Tech shootings, President Bush said, "When people see somebody who is exhibiting abnormal behavior, you do something about it." Thanks for the heads-up, McGruff. But, if that's the case, then I want to warn the country about a man I saw last night on TV. He's six feet tall, Caucasian and he goes by the title "President of the United States." [photo of Bush making face shown]

I'm not kidding. George Bush is the crazy person we need to keep an eye on. He needs to stop taking money from the pharmaceutical lobby and start accepting samples. Only a delusional person could watch Alberto Gonzales before Congress last week do everything but say, "No hablo Ingles"- and rip up a picture of the Pope, and conclude that it "increased his confidence in the man." That's called disassociation from reality. There's an old, frequently-used definition of insanity, which is "performing the same action over and over, expecting different results." And then it says, "See: 'The Surge.'"

Now, I'm no doctor, but I am on TV. And in my professional opinion, George Bush is a paranoid schizophrenic. He thinks the terrorists hate us for our freedom, and believes they're going to follow us home. That's why he keeps obsessively clearing brush, so Osama can't use it for cover.Other symptoms of paranoid schizophrenia are: Do you see things that aren't there? Such as a link between 9/11 and Iraq? Do you - do you feel things that you shouldn't be feeling, like a sense of accomplishment? Do you have trouble organizing words into a coherent sentence? Do you hear voices that aren't really there? Like, oh, I don't know, your imaginary friend, Jesus? Telling you to start a war in the Middle East.

5. New Rule: If you have to eat crap, at least eat humane crap. This week, Burger King announced that it would begin buying eggs and pork from suppliers that don't keep animals in cages, which is such a rare act of corporate responsibility. I'm waiting from them to say, "April Fools." Hey, you keep this up and I'll put one of your crowns on, Burger King. And, now it won't because it's three in the morning, you're the only place open and I'm high. Not to be outdone, Taco Bell says they're going to start being nicer to their rats.

6. New Rule: Put your shirt on! Posing with your shirt off on the cover of your hip-hop album doesn't say "gansta." It says, "I'll blow you for some crack."

7. New Rule: Stop pretending your drugs are morally superior to my drugs, because you get yours at a store. This week, they released the autopsy report on Anna Nicole Smith, and the cause of death was what I always thought it was. Mad Cow.

No, it turns out she had nine different prescription drugs in her. Which, in the medical field, is known as the "Full Limbaugh." They opened her up and a Walgreen's jumped out. Anti-depressants, anti-anxiety pills, sleeping pills, sedatives, Valium, methadone. This woman was killed by her doctor, who is a glorified bartender. And I'm not going to say his name, but only because, a) I don't want to get sued, and b) my back is killing me.

Now, this month marks the 35th anniversary of a famous government report. I was 16 in 1972, and I remember how excited we were when Nixon's much ballyhooed national commission on drug abuse came out and said pot should be legalized! It was a moment of great hope for common sense. And then, just like Bush did last year with the Iraq Study Group, Nixon took the report and threw it in the garbage. And from there, the '70s went right into disco and colored underpants. When are we going to get it? That America's most dangerous drugs are the legal ones in our medicine cabinets, while some of the most benign ones are growing under a heat lamp in my dressing room. I joke! I joke, of course. But, 40% of the U.S. population has tried pot. That's 94 million Americans. Or, as I call them, "my base."

8. New Rule: Advertisers have to find some other way to show that old people are active than just playing tennis. It doesn't matter if it's dentures, laxatives or a funeral home, if old people need it, the ad shows them playing tennis. If old people really played this much tennis, they'd knock their teeth out, crap themselves and die.

9. New Rule: When you boost stamp prices, you have to raise them to an even number. Who goes to the post office? Old people. How long is it going to take each of them to fish out the extra pennies? All the time ever in history. And then, when will they play tennis?

10. New Rule: Liberals must stop saying President Bush hasn't asked Americans to sacrifice for the war on terror. On the contrary, he's asked us to sacrifice something enormous. Our civil rights.

Now, when I heard George Bush was reading my emails, I probably had the same reaction you did: George Bush can read?! Yes, he can. And this administration has read your phone records, credit card statements, mail, Internet logs. I can't tell if they're fighting a war on terror or producing the next season of "Cheaters." I mail myself a copy of the Constitution every morning just on the hope they'll open it and see what it says.

So -so when it comes to sacrifice, don't kid yourself. You have given up a lot. You've given up faith in your government's honesty, the goodwill of people overseas, and six-tenths of the Bill of Rights. Here's what you've sacrificed: search and seizure, warrants, self-incrimination, trial by jury, cruel and unusual punishment. Here's what you have left: hand guns, religion, and they can't make you quarter a British soldier. If Prince Harry invades the Inland Empire, he has to bring a tent.

Currently listening to "Stairway to Heaven"

Last night was rather interesting. Another summer, another house party. You gotta love it. There is something about house parties that truly make a great summer. It only makes sense that the greatest party of all happens when the sky is blue-black and speckled with stars, a gentle breeze rustles the leaves of the suburbs, the beer is plentiful, the deck is consistently clouded with a light hue of cigarette smoke, and the people are only your close friends. The party itself does not have to be huge but the group should more than make up for that. Last night was one of those nights for me. Nearly everybody I would want to be there was, in fact, there. It was amazing.

Beer Pong was being played in the basement, shots of whatever the hell we had were being done in the kitchen, the ash trays were overflowing on the deck in the backyard as several people passed 40's in the hot tub, and upstairs were the devotees to Guitar Hero and Family Guy. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

Of course, no party would be complete without some magnificent sluttery. I was in rare form, which I do not take pride in. Yes, blogosphere, I woke up next to Coyote Ugly. I knew before I began to drink that I was not going to be proud of myself, yet the more beer that I drained down into my gullet, the more capable of rationalizing the situation I was. And so, having rationalized the entire situation to the best of my ability, I meandered into the recesses of "Just Drunk Enough" sex.

We've all been there...some of us too many times, some of us just no longer care. I guess what I am left to wonder is this: Why is it that we do that? Why do we, fully capable of choosing suitable partners in the daylight, allow ourselves to bed people whom we have little to no interest in? Where is the true rationale for that? Is it just the physical act of sex? Is it boredom? What is it that compels our animal instincts to take over?

The obvious answer is beer. But I believe it goes deeper than that because not everyone acts this way when they drink.

I have many theories about beer and sex. Hell, everyone has many theories about beer and sex. "Beer Goggles" come to mind, however that really only reflects upon the drunk, which is separate from my situation last night. Remember, I was sober first. I do believe that, while the situations are slightly different from one another, the two basic principles involved in both still apply. Understand, it seems that everyone has the ability to revert to a more animalistic style when they drink. That being said, it would seem that some people (myself included) are constantly and consistently in heat. Others, however, do not act this way. Could that mean that those who immediately head towards their animal instincts are not as evolved? Or is it possible that those clearly in touch with their instinctual side are more so evolved that the rest of the populace?

This is my true conundrum. This is where I find myself lost in a sea of thought. Any ideas, comments, suggestions, or ranting would be greatly appreciated.

Also, "Spur of the Moment Rage" or "Drunken Rage". What the hell is that all about? Some people get crazy randy when they drink, and some people get, well, bitchy. Honestly, I have not put much thought into this one, but it seems like it would be an interesting subject to ponder. By the way, I love the word "ponder".

Up next: Party Fouls.

Black and White Photos are just sexier...

I have no idea why, but they just are. It may be a lighting issue, it may be that black and white photographes tend to make things seem more simple, sleek, and refined, it may just be that the type of women I am generally attracted to are the same art-house drama nuts that pose for black and white shots. Who knows?

The point is, I have a new Theory. Very simply: Black and White Photos are just sexier. Period.

Now I just need a camera.

You think I have too much time on my hands?

Check this shit out...

http://www.scq.ubc.ca/the-social-norm-of-leaving-the-toilet-seat-down-a-game-theoretic-analysis/

Thats right, it is, in fact, a mathematical equation solving the "seat up or seat down?" dilemna.

*Actual portion of piece:
"In this paper, we internalize the cost of yelling and model the conflict as a non-cooperative game between two species, males and females. We find that the social norm of leaving the toilet seat down is inefficient. However, to our dismay, we also find that the social norm of always leaving the toilet seat down after use is not only a Nash equilibrium in pure strategies but is also trembling-hand perfect. So, we can complain all we like, but this norm is not likely to go away."

So if you ever find yourself wasting time, doing nothing, bored out of your freaking mind to the point that you could actually watch a movie on Lifetime, just remind yourself that someone else has already reached a depth of boredome so low that nothing you could ever do will top it.

*Interesting side note: The dude that wrote this is an Economist. Funny.

And in actual IMPORTANT news, the Democrats are having a televised debate on CNN tonight...actually, right now.

Until its over...Peace.

Fun fact of the day...

Brought to you by Dan Savage!

"The finding that women who do not use condoms during sex are less depressed and less likely to attempt suicide than are women who have sex with condoms and women who are not sexually active, leads one researcher to conclude that semen contains powerful-and potentially addictive-mood-altering chemicals. Study author Gordon G. Gallup, Ph.D., a psychologist at the State University of New York in Albany, also found that women who routinely had intercourse without condoms became increasingly depressed as more time elapsed since their last sexual encounter. There was no such correlation for women whose partners regularly used condoms."

And leads me to wonder who asks these questions?
