Appalachian State 34, UM 32.
Appalachian State 34, UM 32.
Appalachian State 34, UM 32.
Appalachian State 34, UM 32.
Is it really that hard to believe that UM would be so easily dropped?
One could talk about UM being a respectable school for both academics (which, by the way, are not sports so why even bring that up?) as well as their athletics, but so what? The fact that UM has had a great football program for years is of no consequence. It is almost like saying that the Bulls were going to continue to win championships on a regular basis without Michael Jordan. You know, because they were good for a while.
It is BECAUSE UM had such a respectable program that they deserve to lose their ranking in the top 25. They lost to a Division 1-AA team by 2 points. There is no excuse for anything less than a win. Hell, they should drop to at least 15 for not beating them by 30 points. Losing to this team is insane. It makes almost no sense. I, clearly not a UM fan, almost feel bad for this pathetic display. Almost.
Who gets a fucking field goal blocked?
Check out the message boards:
"Of course Michigan fell out of the top 25. Their loss to a team in a lower division of college football was like taking their BCS point total and dividing it by zero. There exists no rank for where the Wolverines should be right now after their embarrassing loss."
"So much for Michigan winning the national championship, eh? To the delight of Spartans fans, the Wolverines were beaten in one of the biggest upsets in NCAA football history today when Appalachian State blocked a U-M field goal opportunity with seconds left in the game to win, 34-32."
Think about it..."one of the biggest upsets in NCAA football history", "embarrassing loss"...of course the fuckers deserve to be unranked.
One more thing. Most students that go to college actually WANT to go to the college that they attend. It kind of makes sense that way.
