Welcome to another day
I don't really think this is extremely interesting but since it had "Duck Hunt" in it ROCK ON!
This is hilarious! It is for parents to know what these drug "slang" words mean...but it gives you a definition and then uses it in a sentence! How freakin' cool is that! Also, make sure that you check your kids sippy cup because you never know when a waiter at a restaurant may mistake apple juice for LIQUOR! And finally, parents do not let your girls near this kid...for at least three years that is...and do not take your kids to this store!
Check this out from a fellow blogspotter! Some of these shows I have seen, others not.
Until next time...unless I accidentally get some liquor instead of Pepsi in the cafeteria.
So it should be a pretty mild day...
But at least there are other groups putting out their mega-hotties list. I found one today that just makes me giddy. Forget the Maxim Top 100. These ladies are just Classy.

Black and White Photos are just sexier...

I have no idea why, but they just are. It may be a lighting issue, it may be that black and white photographes tend to make things seem more simple, sleek, and refined, it may just be that the type of women I am generally attracted to are the same art-house drama nuts that pose for black and white shots. Who knows?
The point is, I have a new Theory. Very simply: Black and White Photos are just sexier. Period.
Now I just need a camera.
Dirty Teachers Teaching Dirty...
Crossing Guard Crosses Line, apparently often and with a camera.
And how this guy managed to pull this off will always baffle me.
Holy Frito's, Batman!
Some of the Dumbest shit you will ever read...

Suddenly the Holy Land is a Whole lot Sexier. Act of Zionism or tourism boost? You decide.
Is the Pope confused, or does he really see himself as the Moses of Transportation?

Not much for writing today
This was funny...laugh at it.
Also, here's is a new take on free speech...even if it is in Poland.
Until next time...I'll talk more then.

Oh my God!
Until next time...unless I jump out of a moving vehicle.
Way to go Ed Anger
Second, he gives us insight into just how shitty our grammar has become and even though it is good to bring it up, it's probably never going to change.
All this coming from a "paper" about the most bizzare and wonderfully unnecessary news.
Until next time...
And you thought video games couldn't be useful...
Also, hooray for a health insurance company leading the charge to make sure a video game! Go Cigna!
I believe this is the only time you could hear "the more tortoises and porn that are involved, the better" and probably not be offended by it.
Oh and you thought we were taxed a lot as it is! I know that there are always new taxes in the works and as long as our legislature continues to act like the Sheriff of Nottingham we are screwed. Now they want to tax tickets to sporting events, concerts, and movies. I fucking hate Michigan more and more every day. I had heard about this before, but when you have professional sports teams like the Detroit Tigers post on their website that "We must stop the ticket tax" I think we should listen because they are a business and we both will suffer in the end. It just doesn't add up.
Until next time...

Yet another reason to move to NY...
Now do you understand...
The following exchange ensued between the deceased woman's great-nephew and the bank:
Nephew: “I am calling to tell you [my great-aunt] died in January.”
Bank: “The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.”
Nephew: “Maybe, you should turn it over to collections.”
Bank: "Since it is two months past-due, it already has been.”
Nephew: "So, what will they do when they find out she is dead?”
Bank: “Either report her account to the frauds division or report her to the credit bureau, maybe both!”
Nephew: “Do you think God will be mad at her?”
Bank: “Excuse me?”
Nephew: “Did you just get what I was telling you -- the part about her being dead?”
Bank: “Sir, you’ll have to speak to my supervisor.”
Supervisor gets on the phone:
Nephew: “I’m calling to tell you she died in January.”
Supervisor: “The account was never closed and the late fees and charges still apply.”
Nephew: “You mean you want to collect from her estate?”
Supervisor: “[stammer] Are you her lawyer?”
Nephew: “No, I’m her great-nephew.” (Lawyer information is given)
Supervisor: “Could you fax us a certificate of death?”
Nephew: “Sure.” (Fax number is given)
After the bank gets the fax:
Supervisor: “Our system just isn’t set up for death. I don’t know what more I can do to help.”
Nephew: “Well, if you figure it out, great! If not, you could just keep billing her. I don’t think she will care.”
Supervisor: “Well, the late fees and charges do still apply.”
Nephew: “Would you like her new billing address?”
Supervisor: “That might help.”
Nephew: “Odessa Memorial Cemetery, Highway 129, Plot Number 69.”
Supervisor: “Sir, that’s a cemetery!”
Nephew: “What do you do with dead people on your planet?”
Yeah, I fucking hate banks.
The sweetness...
I want game like that.

Can you believe this crap?
On a funnier note, we have all wondered what we do in our sleep. Some of us talk, some of us snore, some of us keep a hand in our pants, and some of us do much much worse. Let's see what these people do.
Finally, for those of us with friends and family in Tennessee getting wicked drunk and/or stoned at Bonnaroo...here is a blog to help you remember all the times you probably missed while having sex, smoking a bowl, snorting a line, having more sex, shotgunning a beer, having even more sex, popping a pill, and then passing out.
Until next time...

Whats the deal with this guys hair?
Golly, I just love being irritated.
Babies really ARE full of Demons...
This article got me wondering: Why has it taken so long for sex and technology to become more integrated with each other? The idea has always been there, but it seems that these advances and ideas have been systematically pushed to the back burner. I would like to see the US take a turn toward an open-forum regarding sex. Is that likely? I am unsure. There are far too many bible beaters running around this country trying to close the lid on discussions revolving around sex. Hell, we have a president who, as far as I am concerned, hates the gay community and who has just nominated Dr. James Holsinger for Surgeon General, a man that actually believes Homosexual behavior is a disease.
Elsewhere, robots are getting better at driving, while people who play videogames are getting better at just about everything, and babies really are filled with demons.
And I guess the War on Drugs wouldn't be such a cluster fuck if the US would stop giving money to Colombia; where production of cocaine increases for 3rd year in a row.

In absolute hilarious news...
And hell, if I rolled my own cigarettes, I would only smoke 2 a day as well.
You're not alone when lying on your resume.
A whole new meaning for riding bareback.
With the PS3 costing more than my car, I would too.
That should do for now. Just remember to chew 25 times before swallowing.
In the spirit of politics
Stewie: Mm, Florida. Just think somewhere in this state right now Jeb Bush is eating a live puppy.
Peter: Look Lois, the two symbols of the Republican Party: an elephant, and a big fat white guy who is threatened by change.
Chris: The government is here! Run, E.T.! Run!
This one has nothing to do with politics but it was the funniest thing at the time!
Stewie: Oh, my God, Jeremy's still in the trunk! How long has it been? Two weeks. Nope, he's dead.
Oh and how about God and religious jokes?
Peter: NOOOOOO. Silly rabbit, Trix are for kids. Damn long ears, trying to take Easter away from Jesus. Anyway, what was that you were saying?
Peter's Dad: I know what you're doing in there, and it's a sin! God watches you do it all the time, you know!
Chris: God watches me go #2? Ohh, I'm a sinner and God's a pervert.
Jesus (talking about a gun): You know how to use one of these?
Chris Tucker (takes out a joint): You know how to use one of these?
God: Let me light that for you, honey.
[he points, lights lady's cigarette with lightning bolt]
Lady: Wow!
God: Yeah, you like that? Magic Fingers...
[points again, lightning strikes lady, sets bar on fire]
God: Jesus Christ! Jesus: What?
God: Get the Escalade! We're Outta Here!
[Peter is receiving communion]
Peter: Wow, is that really the blood of Christ?
Preacher: Yes.
Peter: Wow, that guy must've been wasted 24 hours a day, huh?
Okay, we get the point...and my eyes are hurting going through this.
On a new note, I just had someone walk past my desk in pure anger at what I thought she said: that her husband took the pot. I was extremely confused and amused at the same time. It turned out something about him leaving but funny to me nonetheless.
I'll post something more relevant to life soon I promise.
Also, I just remembered that I saw a trailer (limited release) for a movie based on Macbeth, my all-time favorite Shakespeare tale, that is similar to the "Romeo and Juliet" current times movie from years ago. I think it could be good, and you can tell it is similarly done to R&J because of the actual speaking like Shakespeare wrote it. It is based off of drug lords and whatnot and teenage witches. I just noticed that it was released in 2006 in Australia and will be release in limited theatres today. Unfortunately we are not one of the regions it has been chosen to be released in, naturally because Michigan blows something fierce. I guess it will have to wait for DVD...although by then I'll probably forget about it. The movie revolves around Duncan being a crime lord and instead of taking over a kingdom, Macbeth takes over the crime ring Duncan used to run. I did hate the R&J remake with Leo and company because it was just horribly and terribly done in my eyes, but I like Macbeth better so that works in their favor. We shall see and I will update all of you when I do see it.
Until next time...
Smells like corned beef and cabbage...
The writers over at The Stranger have truly outdone themselves. At least, that is how I feel about it. Sending out a staff of 30 on a Sunday is a pretty interesting idea and I am glad that they actually did this. It is not too often that the unique perspective of the non-regulars is put on paper. Hell, it is the first time I have ever read an article like this.
Currently, I am cold. I know, completely uninteresting, but still. Freezing.

It really does make you think...
Also, it has come to my attention that I still have what it takes to get people through difficult times. I was getting a little rusty for a while because I was the one going through it but my God there are some effed up people out there and one of them is playing games with one of my good friends. He loves her though...and I guess that has to count for something. Oh well, just my ramblings to kill time.
Tigers are playing terrible today. Until next time...
Linkin Park's best song
You were so scared
But no one would listen
Cause no one else cared
After my dreaming I woke with this fear
What am I leaving
When I'm done here
So if you're asking me I want you to know
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
And don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Don't be afraid
I've taking my beating
I've shared what I made
I'm strong on the surface
Not all the way through
I've never been perfect
But neither have you
So if you're asking me I want you to know
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
When my time comes
Forget the wrong that I've done
Help me leave behind some
Reasons to be missed
Don't resent me
And when you're feeling empty
Keep me in your memory
Leave out all the rest
Leave out all the rest
Forgetting
All the hurt inside
You've learned to hide so well
Pretending
Someone else can come and save me from myself
I can't be who you are
I can't be who you are
This is Linkin Park's "Leave Out All The Rest" from their new album "Minutes to Midnight." I put this on here because it is one of my all-time favorite Linkin Park songs and it is also one of the catchiest (although you cannot tell simply from reading these lyrics).
Interpret the meaning however you will but I believe it is quite self explanatory.
In totally unrelated news, while posting this blog I had a Freudian slip while talking to someone and their seemingly "significant other." As I was finishing up with them I said what became a little laughing stock of my coworkers:
"Have a great rest of your gay guys."
Dear God did I have to hold that laughter in until they walked far enough away...and my coworkers nearly died. Wow.
Until next time...
So I cannot sleep...
I was just outside a few minutes ago looking at the sky and contemplating life when a nice breeze fluttered through my porch. Really, no big deal, until the chimes started to ring. It was an ominous, steady ring. A slow and almost unnerving tempo that sent shudders down my spine and forced my gaze toward the long tubes of unforgiving steal ringing in the night sky. They rang, and the wind slowed down, and yet they continued to ring as the pendulum built momentum with each pass. I stood and walked out into the street. The moon is silver tonight. I could not help but think of a wise and ancient man when I stared into its hollow eyes. They sky, peppered with a never ending supply of white-hot specks, tilted into a silver blackness that I have not seen in a long time. I stood in the street for what seemed like hours. The wind picked back up, somehow wrestling me back to reality, and I slowly meandered back towards the house. The chimes were ringing. The doorknob was cold as I turned it to venture inside. Sometimes I believe that all the answers lie in the blackness of the sky. Sometimes I truly wonder if there is more to the darkness than an absence of light. I think, perhaps, that in this space, in the moment from sunset to sunrise, there is an answer to every question that could ever be asked. Yet, however hard we scour the night, we are unable to grasp these answers. It seems that some answers are destined to elude humanity forever, for we are unable to see through the darkness and find what is truly in the unknown. And the chimes kept ringing, and the wind kept breezing, and the moment was captured in my mind.
So now, with that in print and the abstract completely lost on myself, I retire to bed and attempt to fall into a dream state.
Goodnight, moon.

Interesting...
I may have to get my ass to the University of Pennsylvania. Looks like Kalpen Modi will be there guest teaching two courses in Asian Studies and Film.
And riddle me this:
"The judge in Paris Hilton's case, Michael Sauer, has declared class warfare. If our courts start treating rich and poor equally, what will be left to strive for? People will start believing that justice should just be given away for free. It will become yet another entitlement. When the haves become indistinguishable from the have-nots, we are all have-nots. On a level playing field no one can rise to the top because there is no top to rise to, just one long valley."
via Jon Swift
That last line gets me a little bit. It is hard to fathom that anyone would really go for this argument, but how does one really argue it?
Also...
We should be adding weekly columns, random ideas, group banter, possibly interviews, and hopefully an add to staff.
Now if only we could get some readership...
And now for a quick summary...
I am back from the wedding and back from the few days I was without computer access. So how about an inside look into my wonderful life since then?
(and bullet points are just keen)
Friday
- Arrived in Albany, NY fairly unscathed but exhausted from the flight and the constant rushing around airports. The 7 minutes that I had to get to my next flight were rough, as the gate that I needed to get to was roughly further away from me than my graduation date.
- Decided, around noon, that Ipods are the greatest fucking invention ever. Also, wondered why the hell my phone does not have the same battery life.
- Went to the tux shop. Fuck the tux shop. I hated those bitches. Somehow, it would seem, that my neck being a 15 1/2 dictates that I have a shirt with the chest and abdominal measurements of a sumo wrestler or possibly a manatee. And heaven forbid I ask for something that might fit me a little better! The charcoal weary eyes of the woman behind the counter instantly shifted from the daze only held by someone contemplating suicide or a handy rampage through her place of employment to a severely fiery "fuck you, and fuck no am I going to waste my precious time looking for a better fitting shirt you out of town fuck." Its true, though, NY really has gotten friendlier.
- Played softball at a gorgeous park near my brother's cottage. Played well, actually. The Cox on Cox battle that was my brother pitching with me swinging brought me 2 doubles, 4 base hits, and 5 RBIs. Beautiful. Until my brother dislocated his left shoulder on the last swing of the game, which was caught by our second basemen. Oddly enough, it was our third basemen who had a medical background and was able to pop it back into place.
- The rehearsal was great. In fact, it was how I would hope any rehearsal would go for a wedding. Yes, all of the boring parts were included. "Stand here" and "read this when they announce this" and all of us felt shamed into wearing suits. So there we stood, the wedding party, outside in 90 degree weather, sweating our balls off, fighting off flies that love sweat oh so much, with BEER AND NOT COMPLAINING. And that is how you know you have a superb wedding planner.
- Dinner was interesting. It mostly consisted of appetizers and beer. Though, when I tried to order a Bud Light, the woman looked at me like I was absolutely crazy. What did they have on tap? Pipi's, (and no, not the Longstocking) Kell's, (a decent draft, but a tad bit irony) and DogFishead Ale, (which tastes exactly how it sounds)
- Then my brother and his wife asked that everybody tell stories about them. Fucking great idea. I loved it. Everyone was drunk, the stories were truly amazing and so well told, and it did not take four hours of the wedding the next day.
Saturday
- After having slept on the most comfortable couch ever, I woke with a supremely disappointing headache, a dry mouth rivalling sandpaper and cotton, and no clue as to where the hell I had placed my glasses.
- The Wedding party assembled at the Inn for pictures around noon. Drinking commenced almost immediately. Billiards were also played.
- The wedding photographer was amazing. I have no idea how they found him, but I can only imagine that the two of them followed a rainbow to his home. This man, no taller than a bar stool, danced around more merrily than any leprechaun I have ever imagined.
- The wedding itself was gorgeous, and my quick moment reading a Maya Angelou poem went as smoothly as it could have gone. Interestingly enough, staring at the crowd really helped more than I thought it would have. Probably because I was nearly drunk and my brother has some really beautiful friends.
- And the reception. Oh the reception. The bar was open, the food was a delicious buffet, the bride and groom were swooning over each other, the bar was open, my mother was having a great time and actually danced, the bar was open, my brother gave a rousing speech that I hope to someday rival, the women were amazing, the bar was open, and everything was wonderful.
- I made out with a fucking beautiful Asian. Thank you, Jesus.
- The bar was open.
Sunday
- Another day of car rides, waiting, and plane trips. I spent roughly 5 hours at the airport in Albany before my flight took off. Not because the flight was delayed, but because my ride to the airport was driving and wanted to get as much time in on the road as possible.
- Another moment where I say the Ipods are the greatest invention ever. And hooray for their battery life.
- Cell phones are also a great thing to have. Especially when one is increasingly bored and looking for something to do. Friends are also helpful, even though we all know that nobody wants to talk to an energetic and impatient Me.
- After landing in Chicago I made my way toward the next gate. This time I was at the airport for 2 or 3 hours....and this time it was because the fucking flight was delayed.
- I arrived at Metro at 1am. The flight attendant had told me that we would not be arriving until 130am. Consequently, my friends who were coming to pick me up were planning for a 140ish-am curbside pick-up. Fuck you, United flight attendant. Thanks for the screw up that allowed for me to sit on a dirty curb for 40 minutes waiting for my ride.
- I finally got home. And I realized that I had never wanted to leave.
So that was my trip. I come home legally bound to an Italian family, and able to put a partial check mark on my Asian to-do list.
Reflecting on the whole situation, I am pretty happy and impressed with weddings. It always seems to be the best day of the Bride and Grooms lives...and I can see why.

Just a few random thoughts
I am saddened that Bob Barker has officially taped his last show of "The Price Is Right" and it is scheduled to air on June 15th. I could, and probably will, write longer on this but he is one of the greatest TV personalities of all time. He will be greatly missed and knowing that at 83 years young he was still going strong just gives you hope that anyone still can at that age. The only problem that I have is that "The Price Is Right" will not go with him. Don't get me wrong I love the show and hope it continues to do well but I would hate to see it share the same fate as classic shows such as "Match Game" and "Family Feud" that have tried but just don't get the ratings that it used to because the host that made the show left (Gene Rayburn for "Match Game" and Richard Dawson for "Family Feud").
Also, in response to a post earlier this week, the TV show "Jericho" is now being brought back to CBS after the protesters bombarded the network with calls, emails, and peanuts. That's right peanuts. The network big-wigs have decided that they must give the public what they want and what they want, above anything else they could be protesting, is a TV show. Apparently this show is really good, it must have to be, but I still won't watch it.
Until next time...
