New Rock Band Announcements!

Directly from the Games Convention in Leipzig, Electronic Arts has announced a PS2 version of the game, Rock Band, along with 10 new songs.

Spanning decades of rock history, the current track list for Rock Band includes the following (newly announced titles in bold):

  • Rolling Stones - "Gimme Shelter"
  • The Who - "Won't Get Fooled Again"
  • Mountain - "Mississippi Queen"
  • David Bowie - "Suffragette City"
  • Black Sabbath - "Paranoid"
  • Blue Oyster Cult - "Don't Fear the Reaper"
  • The Ramones - "Blitzkrieg Bop”
  • Deep Purple - "Highway Star"
  • Rush - "Tom Sawyer"*
  • Bon Jovi - "Wanted Dead or Alive"
  • The Clash - "Should I Stay or Should I Go"
  • Faith No More - "Epic"
  • Foo Fighters - "Learn to Fly"
  • Metallica - "Enter Sandman"
  • Nirvana - "In Bloom"
  • Stone Temple Pilots - "Vasoline"
  • Weezer - "Say It Ain't So"
  • Smashing Pumpkins - "Cherub Rock"
  • Radiohead - "Creep"
  • Beastie Boys - "Sabotage"
  • The Hives - "Main Offender"
  • Queens of the Stone Age - "Go With the Flow"
  • The Strokes - "Reptilia"
  • Jet - "Are You Gonna Be My Girl"
  • OK Go - "Here It Goes Again"
  • Nine Inch Nails - "The Hand That Feeds"

The newly announced titles are said to all be "original master recordings," while some of the previously announced tracks are covers only.


Some of these songs are also in Guitar Hero 3, but that's cool. They have "Epic" and "Gimme Shelter" so I'm good.
