Answer

As far as I am aware currently the Big Ten Network is only available on Comcast because there has been many a dispute so far between the Big Ten Network and the cable companies. The Big Ten Network wants to be part of an expanded cable package with a little more cost to the subscriber than the cable companies would like (only like a buck a household though). So for right now there is no Big Ten Network for us with Wide Open West.

To answer your OTHER question...the Big Ten Network will carry only (x) amount of games in terms of actual coverage because those games that Michigan has booked on National TV or ESPN were made well before this network was able to grab them. The reason you do not see Michigan State on ABC or ESPN or whereever else is because they are not a draw like Michigan is. Even though Michigan lost their game to App. State that does not mean they are not the same draw as before. MSU may just get on national TV every once in a while, especially when they play Michigan (you can count that on ABC for sure). This is not a shot at MSU or their program but they have respectability to gain back from years of debochery.

Also yes you do live in that world of your logic beating logical logic from time to time...and this would be one of those times that if you stop and think about it without your bias against Michigan simply because you enjoy my painstaking heartbreak with their losses, you might just look at MSU and figure out why they are not on ABC. However, before Big Ten Network they (MSU or U of M) usually were on Channel 5 or 7 on ESPN Plus. These TV schedules usually are made well ahead of the season with expectations of which games would be most entertaining and close and, of course, profitable. It is all a guessing game and when Big Ten season starts you will probably be seeing more of them on TV.

Until then...GO BLUE! Beat those bastard Ducks!!
