Response to the UF video

I have to state despite all of my support of this guy that the VERY ending of the video was kinda stupid on his part - it is technically illegal to travel without a form of id, and to not give his name seemed more of a publicity stunt when he realized he would be renowned. As well as the "they're going to drag me off and kill me"... HOWEVER
BIG BIG BIG However

I can't even tell you how honestly sick I felt watching this. Most embarassing is the policemen's COMPLETE disregard for what John Kerry said, the unnecessary force used, the overreaction to his yelling. Has anyone ever been to a legit open forum? There are people who yell OFFENSIVELY to these speakers that less is done about. And in front of a full audience as well. The cops involved in this are probably going to get in a lot of trouble, even though he should not have tried to pull away from them (doing that is never really a good idea, because that put them in the right, sadly enough). It still is unbelievable that the situation arose as well.

And I hate to say it, pigs, but the definition of riot is:
1. a noisy, violent public disorder caused by a group or crowd of persons, as by a crowd protesting against another group, a government policy, etc., in the streets.
2. Law. a disturbance of the public peace by three or more persons acting together in a disrupting and tumultuous manner in carrying out their private purposes

good luck getting him on that charge. And resisting arrest will probably fall flat with 25-50 witnesses testifying against you. Hooray for public court of law.

Surprisingly, in a lot of states it is only required that you state your name to an officer. The only way that you would have to give up your ID is if you are being arrested.

And I am glad that someone actually thought about this for more than two seconds.

1984 is here, man...
