My Elbow Hurts

My elbow hurts because I've been borrowing my Gma and Gpa's 1997 manual turbodiesel Dodge Ram and the steering sucks - like to the point where I have to use all of the force in my arms and all of my body weight to have any hope of making even a ridiculously wide right turn. Turning left is not nearly as bad, but still a pain. When I became concerned, Gpa just said it was "the nature of the beast."

Being the greasemonkey I sometimes enjoy being, I decided to pop the hood and take a look. First thing I notice? The giant pile of corrosion surrounding the positive terminal on the battery... but that wasn't really any concern of mine, I'm taking it back tomorrow (I'll tell Gpa about it though).

However, when I looked in the power steering fluid reservoir, I was surprised to find...
absolutely nothing.

The goddam thing was completely dry. Nature of the beast my ass

So I visited my local neighborhood Target and bought some steering fluid, and lo and behold, all of the sudden I can turn without continually injuring my elbow... If I hadn't listened to my Gpa, that would have been the first thing I checked. That's what I get for paying attention.

The moral of this story? Do not respect your elders, because you know better than them.

p.s. I love and cherish my grandparents, they are wonderful, intelligent, fascinating people. Just not this time.
